Natural disasters, wars, suffering and injustice are omnipresent in the world. Many people want to change this, and to do so they need drive and effectiveness. A community that speaks out for more humanity is Caritas international. For some time now, KRAFTJUNGS has been able to lend this voice even more weight and attention. As a partner in donor communication, we have been able to optimize the design and technology of mailings, brochures and magazines. But ideas and concepts from the perspective of the brand experts at KRAFTJUNGS are also continuously exchanged and discussed.

Worldwide help for people in need

Caritas international is the worldwide relief organization of the German Caritas Association. The association helps people after natural disasters and in crisis areas. The aid measures benefit everyone, regardless of their origin, religion or political convictions. The aim is to shape a world in which human dignity comes first. Therefore, the non-profit organization fights against discrimination, violence, intolerance and poverty. The headquarters of Caritas international is Freiburg im Breisgau.

KRAFTJUNGS as experts for customer-oriented communication

At the beginning of the collaboration, the question was whether donor communication measures could be optimized from a didactic and design point of view. KRAFTJUNGS got to work and were able to increase the success of the measures even more with the comprehensive graphic design toolbox and the in-house conception workshop. Above all, the comprehensibility and clarity of the communication were improved, as well as the efficiency of the mailings by switching to a different mechanism (which ultimately saves costs). The design and layout elements applied were then combined into a coherent, binding corporate design for Caritas international, which is currently also being further developed.

New ways to show solidarity with people in need

In the course of the collaboration, new tools were created together and communication concepts were developed that address both new donors and loyal long-term donors on a campaign basis – measures that need to be reviewed and thought through again and again. Due to demographic change, KRAFTJUNGS also had to draw on its expertise as a digital agency to create a meaningful link between print and online communications. New generations of donors also want to be informed, but in other ways and with other options. Here, among other things, the moving image department delivers action logos and film trailers for the various channels.

Cooperation in challenging times

For KRAFTJUNGS as a professional BtB and full-service agency, it was an impressive experience to see how communication works in the Caritas international community. The different players in the teams bring in their different expert points of view and thus all contribute together to the success of the projects – an inspiring and comprehensive exchange. Unfortunately, this took place mainly online – due to past Corona restrictions. We are now looking forward to more personal exchange again. In the long run, “real” contacts are the best way to achieve common goals in the best possible way.

We wish Caritas international much, much success in all future actions, which unfortunately become more and more indispensable in a world that urgently needs more humanity.
